Sure the note passer caused the crew to look more closely, but that's all. The removal was not up to him. It was at the discretion of the crew/pilot. What do you thing would have happend if the passenger had actually tried to remove the imams? He would have been arrested.

And how do you think it would have played out if the pilot said there was no discernible problem and it was intended to leave everything as-is?
