See What happened to the Thread Spy? Thread #846314 for a discussion of a similar feature once implemented here, then removed. That's my argument.

Besides, who really wants to know how many people think their posts aren't worth reading? I personally could care less. I can do the same without the Twit filter by just not clicking on that person's questions or responses. In either case, we are still stuck with the excessive quoting which allows some of the noise through. When that noise level gets too high, then it's time to apply the thread filter. Shall we also have it publicly displayed when I apply a thread filter? Should we injure that poster's ego by having them think I consider their question unworthy of notice or comment? Where does it stop?
