You can either fight through all the VFP "features" and quirks on your own or use other people experience and knowledge. It's your choice. If you prefer latter, check my previous message for 2 great books that will make your life as VFP programmer much easier.
>All the threads from others that talk about creating their own combobox-like class makes me want to ask - has anybody managed to use the standard VFP-supplied comboxbox class in their ***grids*** ?

>It is great that we can develop our own classes, but as a newbie I'd sure like to start off using the supplied controls... I have more than enough to learn - just starting with the supplied VFP materials :)

>I'm also curious to know: if the native combobox control, when placed in a grid, is considered quirky and avoided by most - has anybody passed enhancement requests to Microsoft to update the combobox to work in a more desirable manner? I assume the combobox has been quirky since the early days of VFP, so it sure seems plenty of time has passed...
