Ok you're right. What's a few hundred thousand african lives to us rich powerful nations? We can't do anthing ourselves.... we have UN to tell us what to do, right?

At least you seem to feel the war in Iraq was for a noble cause... but thats beside the point.

>>~sigh
>>I understand that Tracy.
>>Which is part of my point.
>>
>>Mean while thousands are murdered everyday because "UN can't go in because Sudan won't let them in".

>What is the alternative? Start another war in the sake of humanity. I think the US have tried that in iraq and in the more distant part in somalia and led to nothing.

>The UN has to have an agreement with at least one of the parties involved, or else it just won't work. Even if it has, its effectiveness is limited and depended on the willingness of one or both parties to respect the UN forces.

>I know that many americans think like Gi-joe actions would solve the problems of the world, but in many cases this makes things even worse (iraq).

>Walter,
The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
- Alexis de Tocqueville

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
– Mark Twain (1866)
