It surprised the heck out of me how different they are. Same gene pool, same environment, same everything. And yet they are like night and day.

On the bright side, they have become terrific friends. Like sisters, you might say <s>. I told them for years this was going to happen and for years they didn't seem to hear me. ("With HER?!") It's nice to see. They even have mock debates about who's going to take me in when I am old and doddering.

On that point they are in agreement -- Emily. (Emily: "You'd put him in the nursing home so fast his head would spin." Allie: "I know you'll have a nicer house.").

I'm going to surprise them and outlive them both! LOL

(Yuck, that was an awful thought. I was joking but no parent wants to outlive their children).
