Thank you very much for your response. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have written a utility which emulates the Foxpro's COPY FILE procedure, only it has a thermometer and it is about 10 times faster. Since COPY FILE keeps the modified date the same I wanted to do the same thing and this has given me the ability to do this.
