You should create a data group on the PO Number and but the PO Header information in the Data Group Header band. The PO Items information should go in the detail band. Do not fill in the Target Alias on the detail band. Instead, set a relation between the PO Header and the PO Line Items and just let the PO Line Items drive the report. That's it .. no multiple detail bands required.

As I mentioned in another message, the report already has a data group (e.g. P.O. vendors). I realized I could have two data groups. But the reason I don't want to use P.O. Header as a group is the following. When using Group By you are "limited" to what fields will be included (I am sure you know that). Whereas when you simply select records from the P.O. header table you can do it with POHEADER*. and all fields will be included. Do you see what I mean?
