This only looks at one aspect of safety,

How about the safety of our troops fighting to keep our oil addiction flowing. How about the safety of the next generations air supply.

The smaller cars of today are safer than the beasts of just a few years ago, unfortunately drivers aren't.

It doesn't seem to be a problem in Europe, maybe because gas is twice as much :)
