I tried the upgraded version (Process Monitor) and wow, there's sure a lot of stuff going on. More than I could sift through. I tried the installation on another win2000 PC and it worked fine so the problem seems to be specific to the one machine. I solved the problem machine by switching to an older version of foxtools.fll. Go figure.
