Mike, I've not expressed any opinion about what may or may not have happened. For me the enduring memory of Drew Speedie in UT should be the story of a man who wet down his trousers to emphasise his opinion about Bindevents ;-) and thereby caused a surge of interest by VFP people all over the planet. That's just one of many stories that accurately describe his relationship with this community. Perhaps you will agree that if somebody searches for him here on UT, a traditional stomping ground for VFP developers, the list should be topped by posts that detail his remarkable contributions rather than drawing attention to an official finding that has absolutely nothing to do with his status in the community. My comments are not intended as a criticism of *anybody* who has posted in this thread, or a call for censorship, or a desire to spoof google. That is the sum total of my opinion on the matter.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
