Not necessarily. The corporate America isn't really welcoming as a place to raise a family. Just start with the cruelty of what, two weeks maternity leave. In normal countries it's at least months, if not a whole year. Then, the cost of daycare - anyone subsidizing that? Not that I know of, these are businesses trying to turn a profit. Add to that that very few women get their old jobs back after taking a longer maternity leave - thus getting pushed back in their carreers - and you'll see how the corporate world appreciates family values. Also, when one gets a job in a different city, what are the chances that employer will help in finding a suitable job for the other spouse?
Women aren't doing this because of any feminism - I'd bet most of them don't really know all the connotations of the term, nor do they feel like activists - they do it simply because they aren't stupid.
