In Quebec, we have operated for 7 years in the same way all other e-commerce businesses in Canada are doing. The CRA also did an audit and this has been discussed and they agreed that no tax should have been charged to international customers. So, it made perfectly good sense to operate in the same way in New Brunswick, especially after the CRA confirmed us on phone not to charge the tax, with our accountant as a witness during a conference call. If you can find one e-commerce business in Canada having such ruling, I would be interesting to hear about. Because, having such a ruling, which would state that tax has to be charged, this would mean it would make it impossible to operate so this is why you will probably not find one with such ruling.
