>Any NZ sauv blanc with a screwtop should be good. If you see a NZ Pinot Noir, try that too- NZ is producing consistently good Burgundy styles that look to be going just as well as Sauv Blanc.

By Burgundy you mean Pinot Noir? This french thing of naming wine after regions is too confusing. The new world's naming by grape is better.

>BTW, Not only does Vancouver come top in the quality of life stakes, Canada also has the most affordable housing. Apparently it takes just over 3 years of average salary to buy a median-priced place in Canada, compared to 3.7 years in the US and 6.9 years in Auckland NZ.

In my neighbourhood is is about 16 years of work to buy an average house. Vancouver housing prices are out of control. The two bedroom apt we've bought is 6 years of salary. My only solace is that when we retire, we can move to the country and have a few bucks.
