Dispite the myth that the United States is the greatest in all things from my exposure to the sciences I would have to disagree.

Some of the best scientific text books I have seen have been written by Brits.

I have also known a few American scientists to cede superiority to the Brits, French or Germans.

It has however been my observation if you lead in your field, there is no place in the world that is better for capitalizing on your talent than the US.
