>Oooh. I can't wait for this feature. It's destined to be a favorite. How do you suppose they doit? Open a virtual copy of the table and index? How does it work if you have, say, a table buffered table (pending a tableupdate), IndexSeek on a new record. Will it find it?

They probably just trust the record number found in the index file, and don't check for the existence of the record by GOTOing the record anymore :)

I'm curious on how it will behave with buffers, specially table buffering. Like, if I add a new record in a buffer, and have USEd the same table AGAIN in another workarea, will it find the record (I think it shouldn't) in the other area, and will it find it in the current (should) and will it find it in the other after I tableupdate() the first (should).

Well, I saw later that Jim Booth was quicker. We already know how it works.
