Hi Terry, thanks for the reply.

To save wasting paper, once the print file has been generated (presumably from, say, and SQL statement), you could check whether the cursor is empty (using _TALLY) and if _Tally = 0 display a message that there's nowt to print.

In this case the user still wants the title information printed, then a message like "No records to report" if RECCOUNT()=0.
