>You are rignt...Fox is a great tool and always has been (IMHO). The Microsofties really ought to get with it and realize that VFP is the best data-centric tool they or anyone else have. It has a super built-in database engine, and it is just about the best front end there is for SQL Server, bar none.

>The 'softies WISH that VB was as good as VFP in this particular arena, but it just isn't...VFP is data-centric, VB is not. I do not mean to slam VB here, because it is a great tool, too. I just think that VFP and VB each have their place.

One other possibility rears its ugly head. What if there's some political battle going on behind the scenes that really has nothing to do with the quality of the product. IMHO VFP is a far superior product than its competitors. Bill Gates is interested in making $ right? So what is he thinking about?
Perhaps the mysterious E-mail that appeared the other day might explain it.
"Bill Gates works in mysterious ways."
