>Our heads are not in the sand. Enough alarms go off here when erroneous information is published, web sites are provided, and UT members jump over to these sites to *spam* these uninformed *journalists* with the facts on VFP.

That's great that you will *spam* these uninformed *journalists* with the facts. Jump all over me when I make erroneous assumptions based on rumors. Great. I don't mind. Because I'm interested in being right. I'm interested in the truth. If I've got my facts mixed up, I want to know about it.

As to the argument that certain comments are going to scare away new programmers , I don't buy it. If that programmer doesn't have the intelligence and patience to read the entire thread, than I don't think we want that programmer. Perhaps he would be better off coding batch files in DOS. Every thread that's out there regarding the future of VFP has a variety of opinions, and it is up the each individual to glean what truth they can from it.

I don't want a sales job, I want the truth. I really want to know what's going on. If VFP ever goes under, I'll be just as ready as anyone else to jump to VB or which ever language would replace VFP. Some of our jobs rely on having the right information to make these decisions and I'm sorry, giving me URL's to sites that are going to spew the M$ party line, isn't enough. Actions speak louder than words. And from the all activities of M$ in regards to VFP, my read is that they are ambivalent at best.

If you want to jump all over me for this comment, that's fine. Just keep giving me the facts and I'll be happy.
