'Failure of soicalism' means 'problems' created by public (i.e. state) ownership of land, factories, etc. Last time I checked, Sweden and other countries have established private property rights.

I don't know. I am certainly not an expert as I have never lived under socialism or a socialist-capitalist hybrid as in Scandinavia and others. I was just wondering as his statement seem to equate socialism with failure. I do come from a country were public education is a given, it's free and in general of very good quality, yet not a socialist country.
