>Are you sure that Scandinavian countries are qualified to be called 'Socialism'? Do they have private enterprise? 'Failure of soicalism' means 'problems' created by public (i.e. state) ownership of land, factories, etc. Last time I checked, Sweden and other countries have established private property rights.I don't know. I am certainly not an expert as I have never lived under socialism or a socialist-capitalist hybrid as in Scandinavia and others. I was just wondering as his statement seem to equate socialism with failure. I do come from a country were public education is a given, it's free and in general of very good quality, yet not a socialist country.
