I went ahead and turned OFF the UAC but problem persists.
still no file names are being displayed when you issue the command:
RUN DIR/p

For those who say "DOS is dead!", these are not DOS machines. These are customers who go out and buy a brand new Vista computer in order to run their Legacy application that they still prefer. Even though the VFP version is available.

They still like the simplicity, familiarity, the large fonts and the modal nature of the old FoxPro2 screens. We have to keep them happy too.
