Thanks for responding to my question. I did not even know that anyone would respond to this message. I have not been checking my UT messages lately.

Here at work, I am only using Visual Studio.net 2003 Standard Edition and I have attempted to start an MFC SDI application with Database support and with client type ODBC and I get this Error:

Server Explorer
Unable to connect to database.
It is only possible to connect to SQL Server Desktop Engine databases 
and Microsoft Access databases with this version of Visual Studio.

Do I need to tell my boss to upgrade this version of Visual Studio to make this work? Please confirm.
