I've been doing custom applications for 20 years now, mostly in Clipper / Visual Foxpro with a smattering of SQL thrown in for color. Recently, one of my clients requested an internet site where hist customers could access some important documents that my client tracks. I've managed to build a small ASP.NET application by brute force - by sifting through the online documentation and "help" that comes with my MSDN subscription.

Now that this internet thing is finally catching on <g> I think it's time to buy a book. There's a ton of stuff out there - which books did you find to be the most helpful?
