>Sorry, but don't include ME in that WE -- I'm not "abandoning the fox" even now after the announcement. However, for years I have been learning new technologies, just as I have been doing since I first started out as a software developer years ago.

Let me re-insert the original paragraphs here:

Sorry, but this is not true. Many of us have FEARED that MS was going to kill the fox, but HOPED that this wouldn't happen. And they have given prevalence to their hope. And that's why they continued with the fox.

Had we KNOWN at that time that development would stop in 2007, most of us would have abandoned the fox at that time.

It is (should be) obvious that the 'we' is a reference to us all at that time, and that 'most of us' does not include us all, but does, as I see it, also include many of the ones who gave prevalence to their hope and therefore continued to use the fox.

Had YOU KNOWN at that time that development would stop in 2007, YOU would NOT have abandoned the fox at that time. That's okay with me, but it does not contradict what I said.
Groet,
Peter de Valença

If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
