You've already told me you know nothing, nada, zip about Vb or Vb.net. Here's a little clue for you. I hve friends whose main tool is VB. They wrote custom apps for mom and pops using VB and they do now with Vb.net.

The notion that you can only write "database" apps with VFP is absolutely ridiculouse. And unfortunately shows how little technical knowledge is contained within this group about other tools.
