>You've already told me you know nothing, nada, zip about Vb or Vb.net. Here's a little clue for you. I hve friends whose main tool is VB. They wrote custom apps for mom and pops using VB and they do now with Vb.net.

First, I won't apologies for not knowing VB or VB.NET.
Second, I never, and I repeat, never said that it was impossible or see people said it was impossible(unless I missed those) to create database application with any other language. Heck, in my Turbo Pascal days, I created databases for my own applications. Any programmer can do that from scratch.
But if you had taken the time to read my blog:
“You can do that in .NET”
I did not see anyone saying it was impossible. Many in the third group said that it takes longer in .NET versus Visual FoxPro. Ok, let’s be fair and say that a very experience person can do it in the same time or faster. Who will pay in the end? Our clients.
Third group: Those who still worked in .NET and VFP
