For the record. I never liked Imus. Aside from that, I believe what he said is disgusting. He should have the right to say it and not go to jail. But he should be punished by his employers (not sure if the 2 weeks of ban starting next Monday i enough - why Monday and not today?). Would you like anybody to call your sister, daughter or mom a hoe?

He does not know these girls. Never met them. Why the gratuitous insult? What did they ever do to him to publicly insult and smear them like that?

I don't know if Sharpton is overdoing it a bit but I'm as disgusted at Imus as I was at Michael Richards when he did his racist tirade. (Add Mel Gibson to the list too).

Freedom of speech is one thing. Racism is another.
