Just like a couple of my customers who read the article. They did not know that VFP was officially dead until they saw this. The fact that a small number of developers is complaining about it makes no difference as they (and I) know it will make no difference to Microsoft.
I faced reality back when the VFP 'roadmap' showed that VFP9 was the last gasp for VFP. I am moving to .NET as I need to have a viable development environment for the future. I still make money from VFP but I expect that to dry up very quickly, and I will not attempt to start or reccommend starting any new major project in VFP as that would be a disservice to my customers now.
