Perhaps you missed the "In my opinion" part of my statement. Generally speaking opinions are just that, i didn't make a blanket statement and I am not going to nose dive into a debate that has been going on for 20 years. As a rule I prefer to do as much number crunching as possible on the server. LINQ looks cool but ideally I want SQL Server / Oracle doing the heavy lifting.
I hate "chatter" sometimes. I goes from being a helpful board to a "my opnion is more relevant than yours" ego-fest. Do what works for you. The non-VFP tools I use manage to get the DML job done.
