Hi Srdjan,

thanks for the open words. Like with all beasts you can turn the gnarlling of the CAs into a friendly purring, once you found the right place where to crawl them - if you like I offer you to share all the knowledge about CAs with you which I gained in the last time once I am through with my present project (about another 4 to 6 weeks).

As far as VFP 9 is concerned I strongly recommend to get the book "What's New In Nine" from Hentzenwerke, which gives tons of helpfuls hints. It is a real time saver!

Thanks for the good wishes - Good luck to you too!

Hans

>>Don't worry; at least it was worth trying. This thread is from 2003 and - I assume - from the CA of VFP 8. Now we have VFP 9 since some time and - as naive as I am - I am assuming that someone might have done some work with SQL 2005 backend and using VFP9's CA, which by the way seems to be a powerful tool, but I am only slowly beginning to comprehend it.

>>I found in my present project, that using CAs to retrieve data is done in a snap (one record, several records, with or without computed fields etc) and also using CAs to store data to an MS SQL backend in conjunction with the famous Begin Transaction - End Transaction cycle works fine. Therefore I have the hope that someone might have done some work on this topic as well in the last two years using VFP 9 and its CAs, who has the knowledge which I need.
