Good article Mike.

I would be happy with a "DBF on steroids" standard. It can be a free table for me. With 64 bit, long file names (32 chars is enough), native encryption. Naturally with indices and buffering and a local data engine that ran in several OS.

Did you evaluate Codebase? Wonder why Google hasn't purchased it? Sounds like the kind of "crazy idea" they want to hear about. http://news.com.com/2061-11199_3-6175823.html?part=rss&tag=2547-1_3-0-20&subj=news Does anyone know Google's email address for suggestions?
