I know a guy who lives up in the Colorado mountains, w. of Denver, and he says there no-one bothers locking the house, as everyone has pick-ups, power tools and guns. Now that IS rifle rack country by what he tells me.

>Actually, when I was young (under 12) all of my friends' homes had at least one weapon visible. We had one handy and a gun cabinet with the rest. Most had gun cabinets as well. We also never locked our doors or windows back then. No one broke in because they knew that everyone had a weapon and they would get shot. A whole different world...

>>>I know people who keep a loaded gun around just about every door! That amazes me.

>>>>Because I have a wife that nags me. I don't understand why... her dad always had a loaded shotgun behind his bedroom door. That is the last house I would want to break into.
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
