I need some help with an SQL string(s) to produce an outline style report of an assembly broken down to the final detail state, an indented bill of materials.

The source data is taken from AS400 files. The main file is a product structure file which has parent parts and child parts fields. It seems I will need some sort of loop that identifies each level of the break down.

The more I try to figure this out the more confused I become.

Please help.
