no virus. problem (main one, anyhow) is that we use pkzip for backup routine. before running routine, say 'set default to data' so to make pkzip call cleaner. system gives error -- 'invalid path/filename' (something like that). path and default directories are set correctly and data directory exists. this works on every other machine we've tested on.
