On my old former job we had a routine that changed fields with an "a" prefix to the regular fields and de-null the table. I can try to search if I have this code somewhere if you want it (I think I may not have it).

I have a sql statement to pull the information, but my goal was more of a general utility to merge multiple tables into one table. Your ideas was actually the way I was going then it dawned on me that perhaps someone else has already done some utility to merge tables into one and avoid null values for fields that didn't exist in the other tables.
