I'm being paid for 7hrs/day and I'm normally at work for 8 hours and more. If I loose 30 minutes/day surfing the net, I'm I stealing my paycheck?

I never said that and, of course, I would not say that you are stealing your pay check. What I said is that anyone who spends more time surfing the net than they do at performing the job that they are being paid for is being dishonest. Do you disagree with that?

I also said that, IMHO, one cannot effectively write code when one is interrupted every 5 mintues by surfing the next. Do you disagree with that?

If I do a couple of hours of overtime (not paid) or I come in on the weekend, can I take it more relax at work when it's calm? It's given-given in my book, give me some loose and I will give you some. Check how I spend every minute of my workshift and I will not give you one minute more.

I totally agree with you. When I was a full-time employee I did the same thing. I would jump on to CompuServe 3 times a day: once in the morning, once at lunch time, and once in the evening. I also took work home and put in serveral hours in the evening and on the weekends.

Evaluate me on my deliveries, not on how I spend my day.

IMHO, it is difficult, to say the least, to deliver much when one is interrupted every 5 minutes. I know that I could not deliver great value for my clients if I were, and I reckon that I am a better than average developer < s >.
