>Folks like Coulter make the "game" nasty. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me (other than their being wrong, of course <vbg>), but her way of doing it is so unabashedly nasty. She's actually a perfect example of hating the players, not the game.

I read almost all of them almost every day because it keeps me informed. But Coulter's just not worth my time and energy (not that my paper gets her).

Ann Coulter figured out how to make a lot of money, and went for it. I have no idea whether or not she believes everything she spews, or even if she cares, but it works.

The time was right for her. That whole Bush crowd with it's, "If you don't agree with everything I say and do, then you're anti-american" really set the stage for people willing to become fawning sycophants to prosper.
