MS learned from the SCO experience. SCO got a couple of companies on board and started to leverage that as advertising. MS is doing the same. SCO then let out some of the information about what was copied, and almost got laughed off the planet. MS has decided not to go that route.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. If they won't get specific, it's just FUD.
