You have no idea what has been said in private by the gurus. Many of us talk directly to the people on the Fox Team. We have their email address, we have their cell phone numbers, we see them in person and sometimes we even stay at their house. Much of what is said is said in private instead of on public forums. We have fought very hard for FoxPro over the years. In fact, things probably would have stopped several years ago had it not been for us being so pushy about the Fox.

Another point .. MSFT is a big company and the Fox team is a little team in the entire scheme of things. The team itself has fought hard but could only go so far. They could only work with the resources that were handed down to them and dollar per dollar the Fox team did a hell of a lot with the little they had. Have they made some mistakes .. especially with the choice of marketing people .. YES .. I believe they have. But that doesn't mean that others haven't fought hard.

I take offense to a blanket statement that the experts and gurus are sitting around and not fighting for Fox. If you're looking for someone to blame .. send an email to Bill Gates but don't you dare blame the gurus for not trying!! We've worked our butts off and are very passionate about the Fox!!

>Thank you (and Tamar) for pushing them on new features. Some of the "gurus" are more M$ lap dogs than others. In any event, it is partly human nature. You get on the MVP list or whereever and you get the inside information before others and that provides a competitive advantage and not many people are anxious to lose that. So pushing for new features and pointing out bugs are safe since you can't be faulted for having a wish list and bugs are just bugs - they exist or they don't, nothing that can be denied. But what bothers me is the hesitancy on the part of the gurus to push *hard* on M$ to improve VFP and not kill it. Real criticism. I don't see much of that from too many of the gurus, though it varies, of course. Over the years, there's just been a tendancy to shout about all the new features and ignore the fact that they were purposefully letting the ship sink. It's kind of like in the media, where they beat up the beta of the new OS (when it's safe to do so), but when it
>ships, the criticism drops off drastically because they are beholden to M$ for so much advertising. The level of frustration in this community has been high and I don't think the "gurus" communicated strongly enough with M$. Sorry. Not saying you haven't done some good things or helped people out, including me.
