Ok, let's be honest here. It was mostly the community that killed Foxpro (I'm referring to low sales here by current users - not new sales) but it was also the community that saved it. VFP is used by the government in some very important apps. I know because I worked on them for 7 years. In order to kill VFP officially, MSFT had to provide a replacement and an affordable path to move to that replacement tool to the government or risk a LOT. I don't have to mention what all would be at risk. That was finally done (not just the replacement tool but that training and some other deals like hardware and connectivity and new technology deals as well) so now the road is clear for MSFT to let VFP fade away overtime. Only a community where everyone put their money where their mouth is and bought huge quantities of VFP9 would even cause a bump in the current road. It still wouldn't happen because the BIG deals and agreements have been done.

>With all due respect Cathy, as a business owner isn't it YOUR job to convince YOUR client to buy YOUR product so that YOU can stay in business? Marketing being a prime example of how one goes about convincing clients to buy products.
