I have not tried using Crystal Reports on Vista. However, the CRPE (pronounced Crappy) should not be used and could be the reason you are having problems. You will not have to change the reports to use the RDC, but you will have to change your code.

>I have been using Crystal Reports from VFP since 1999. I use the older report engine CRPE, which I know hasn't been supported in ages. I am currently using Crystal Reports 8.5. I use InstallShield Express v11 to distribute my application. When my app is installed on a Vista machine, it runs just fine as long as User Account Controls (UAC) are turned on. However the program cannot find Crystal Reports when UAC are turned off. I can manually unregister the CRPE32.DLL, move the Crystal files to a different directory and then register it again, which fixes the problem, but I don't want the user to have to do that. I am willing to switch to RDC and upgrade to CR v11.
