Having read umpty-ump messages here about Printer Environment I have always checked the printer environment to make sure it was not turned on. To the best of my knowledge, the Printer Environment option on the menu has never been checked.

In order to get Landscape orientation I went to File -> Page Setup, clicked the Print Setup button, changed orientation to Landscape, clicked OK to exit Print Setup and then OK to exit Page Setup. Is that the correct way of setting orientation? Could that have caused environment to be saved? I looked at the Reports tab in Tools -> Options and the Save Printer Environment is not checked.

If so, FoxPro could by inadvertantly changing the alias to the recordsource of the grid so it can refresh the grid .. which of course is messing up the report. If this is the case, add some code just prior to running the report that takes focus off the grid and puts it on another control.

There is no grid on the form. I also double-checked the base class to make sure there wasn't a grid that might be invisible.

I really appreciate your efforts to help.

Thanks a bunch.......Rich
