>I was a PUTM for the first couple of years, then Michel started charging for the extras like the magazine, etc. Then a few years ago, the collateral noise on the site became the norm, a number of nut cases moved in, the fee's kept rising till it reached the point where the benefits of PUTM were no longer worth the cost and I no longer felt that the site was worth paying for. There were a few things where I felt Michel was non-responsive and uncommunicative so I voted with my dollars. The recent events are indicative of how Michel feels about his "valued" customers.

That was my general feeling as well; I was a member then decided to not renew for a lot of the same reasons. Each time I considered renewing, it seemed like I'd get a reminder as to why I haven't renewed in the past (such as this recent incident).
