I was wondering if you have any methodology for determining what has to be reinstalled?

Currently I've got 4 pc's and a laptop all connected by a peer-to-peer network. Old projects are kept on "old" pc's, and that works fairly well. The only one I want to reformat the hard drive on, is the one with vfp9 on it. However, it also has a lot of other developement stuff on it. The weeding out process boggles my mind.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this.
