When I do that I back up everything TWICE and verify the backup
First I consider switching to MacOSX
then I reinstall the OS from scratch, reformatting the drive
then I reinstall ALL programs
then I get my personal data from backup until I have everyting as it was befor windows pucked on me

The only one I want to reformat the hard drive on, is the one with vfp9 on it. However, it also has a lot of other developement stuff on it. The weeding out process boggles my mind.
