Weekend Greetings

Some facts:
1. I have a check writing report with 2 detail bands.
2. The bands are for duplicate check stubs (each prints the same data).
3. Each band has a different target alias
4. Placement of each detail band is constant. I add blank lines to force the constant position.
5. The check, in the group header, prints before the detail bands.

Desired action:
If there are more than 10 item lines (rare) on the stub, I need that stub to overflow for both detail band to the next page where a blank check is printed.

The problem:
detail band 2 and the check to overflow to the next page, but I can not get detail band 1 to cooperate.

What I have tried:
Played with the "start detail set on new page when less than" property by setting it to 4.00 for example. It will print the whole band on the second page, but leaves the first page blank. No partials.

Any ideas??

thanx in advance, Vince
