This is the crux of the problem with youth today - little or no discipline during the
formative years.

I have 2 teenage daugters, 18 & 14, and a 4 year old son, and in my house, they do
what they are told or face the consequences.

The results have been positive, as they know their boundries and they know what to
expect when the cross them.

She had a kid in her class who used to fall asleep in class all the time, so when she was talking to the boy's mother, she asked what time he went usually went to bed, and the mother told her about 11:00pm normally. This kid was 8 years old. Lois told her the child needed more sleep than that, but the mother told her that if she tried to make him go to bed earlier, he would cry and yell.
