Good points, I agree with the idea of a parent being a citizen to automatically give the child rights.

Mexico is a mess, looks like it will be for some time. As long as things are so bad there, we will have this problem. Some have advocated that building their economy up is the only way to stop the continuous influx, I can't see it happening because their government is too corrupt (not just Mexico's either)
