Sorry, dont know of any free ones. Here are a couple of $$$ ones:

RoboHelp 6 $999 Upgrade $499
http://www.adobe.com/products/robohelp/

Flare by MadCap $899 June discount of $400 for Robo clients
http://www.madcapsoftware.com/products/flare/home.aspx

Help & Manual $459, Std: $299
http://www.ec-software.com/

Not sure if Rick's WWHB imports WordDocs, but here is the link:

WestWind Help Builder $299
http://www.west-wind.com/wwHelp/

I had recently reviewed programs that did import from Word. I most liked Help & Manual and it did import well. Flare looked quite impressive (and expensive) but it required that Word2003 be installed in order to import docs. We have an older version of Word so was not able to test that feature. But it does import and it does have a "look for changes" import option as well with the intent being to limit wordsmithing on subsequent imports (if you plan to continue updating the worddoc). I have used Robo and still use an old version. The Madcap company is made up of ex Robo/eHelp people. Robo had gone thru multiple owners fairly recently. For a long while the rumor was that Adobe had retired the Robo program, but they recently came out w/ an update. The trick with importing worddocs into these programs is that your worddocs needs to be structured with the correct formatting ahead of time. Output options are also a consideration...
