It should be straightforward, but sometimes VS 2005 has issues with Add-Ins. Try running the following from a Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt:

DEVENV /SETUP

I've seen this happen on just a few developer machines and, unfortunately, it at times requires reinstalling VS 2005. That said, there is a hot fix that Microsoft recently released that may help:
