>>Well, without a job and without a place to live I suspect they'll have to go back where they came from - which in most cases should be find because that's where they're sending all the money they make here anyhow. I know it sounds harsh - but hey they knew what they were doing (and have been doing) is against the law, so quite frankly I have zero pity for them. Furthermore, right now if an illegal alien has a baby in the USA, the the kid is a citizen. So now the illegal is going to say "waaa waah waah don't break up my family..waah waah" (although they sure didn't seem to have a problem ditching their family to come over here in the first place) so yeah lets keep the family together - if you're not a citizen and have a baby here in the USA then the baby shouldnt be anymore legal than the mother. Now I don't think that should be retroactive - if yer a citizen now then so be it - you stay one. Obviously it's not practical to round up 12 million people and lock them up somewhere
>>(don't want to turn into Hitler's Germany here...) but if they got here on their own then they can get the heck out on their own - and with no job, house, etc they'll have no choice but to leave.

>You think so? If U.S. citizens with no job and no home (Canada too, for that matter) can manage to live on the streets and somehow survive, why would Mexicans be unable to do the same? Ultimately, I think you would still have to round them up and ship them home.

At least it may slow down the illegal immigration.... I guess?
But the only ones going back may be the good guys. The bad ones will stay.
The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
- Alexis de Tocqueville

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
– Mark Twain (1866)
